Not helpful at all (despite being a good researcher). Glad I found real help elsewhere

I went to the Stanford PACS clinic to get specialized care. I was initially seen by a physician's assistant, who suggested the only treatment for me was to increase my LDC from 4.5g to 6.0g. No tests, no other treatments aside from breathing exercises. I was quite disappointed by this (poor) level of care, and asked to be seen by Dr. Bonilla. In my appointment, he spent 10 minutes giving me an advertisement for the clinic; I finally cut him short and asked him to assess and provide treatment. At the end of an hour, he prescribed increasing my dose of LDN to 6.0g, and no other treatment. Deeply frustrating. Fortunately, I was also a patient at the RTHM Clinic at the same time. While my intake paperwork at the Stanford Clinic took 20 minutes to complete, the RTHM Clinic paperwork to 2 days and 12 hours to complete. After my first hour-long appointment, my doctor (Dr. Stuart Malcolm) took 3 hours to work up my 9 page long clinical notes, and provide 12 diagnoses, 4 medications, and a battery of labs. Within 24 hours of beginning the medication he prescribed, I felt 50% better and was able to get out of bed for the first time in many months. After a year of RTHM treatment, I am now returning to work after 18 months out, and able to shop, socialize, and enjoy life again. I am so grateful for RTHM Clinic and Dr. Malcolm - he gave me my life back.

Knowledgeable about ME/CFS and Long Covid, but limited in how they can help

Chronic Illnesses: Long COVID
Symptoms Treated: ME/CFS - Moderate improvement
Last appointment: 1+ years ago

Over the course of a year and a half we tried low dose naltrexone, low dose abilify and different antihistamines. None worked. I found his staff to be dismissive and he can be patronizing. At the time of visits ~2023 they were not helpful is prescribing any other treatment plans or doing work ups for structural abnormalities. Also the wait time was ~1 year, but with cancellations and if you follow up with the office it seems to be much sooner.
