We aim to build a community where people can share their Long COVID experiences and learn from each other.

Our Story

Salvatore Mattera's life changed dramatically after his third COVID infection in early 2023. Despite following all the recommended health protocols—receiving every available vaccine and booster, taking Paxlovid during his infections, maintaining a healthy active lifestyle with 5-6 weekly gym sessions, and having no major preexisting conditions—at just 33 years old, Salvatore found himself battling Long COVID.

What followed was more than a physical struggle. The medical system that should have supported him instead became another obstacle to overcome. Many doctors dismissed his symptoms, while even those who acknowledged his condition offered no effective treatments. Over two years, Salvatore consulted dozens of healthcare providers across conventional and holistic specialties, desperately searching for relief.

Eventually, Salvatore found medical professionals who provided meaningful care. But his journey revealed a troubling gap in our healthcare system—one that countless others were falling through.

Help for Long COVID

Witnessing Salvatore's exhausting search for proper care, his wife Stephanie envisioned a better way. She conceived a platform to make it easier for Long COVID patients to find knowledgable providers and effective treatments.

From this vision, Help for Long COVID was born—a comprehensive, community-driven resource created by people who understand the struggle firsthand.

We hope anyone struggling with Long COVID will find valuable resources, genuine understanding, and renewed hope here. No one should have to navigate this challenging condition alone.
