Its an ongoing process

Chronic Illnesses: Long COVID
Symptoms Treated: Sleep - Better short time Energy - Better short time Cortisol - Better short time

I think MTHFR affects comt/dopamine-adhd type symptoms, methylation and choline to act formation affecting circadian rhythm and under/over methylation is either impacted or is the root cause of energy, vagus nerve, memory issues. Most people have an MTHFR SNP but I think covid throws the process completely put of balance. This is why some people have low iron and others have high iron/ferritin post covid. Niacin is affected by MTHFR and that affects the krerb cycle (or it's the other way around. I'm having a slow head day) that affects iron/haemoglobin. MTHFR also affects the heart according to a cardiac nurse friend. I'm slow COMT and have 4 MTHFR SNPs. I am now very sensitive to methyl groups including melatonin and fish oil. Methlycobalmin used to be fine but now I can barely handle ¼ low does hydroxycobalmin. Creatine makes me both fidgety and bone weary even at 1mg (methyl donor). I'm slowly able to increase b vits and push them through the methylation cycle but it's slow and needs more breaks than periods of supplementation. Undermethylators might have an easier time at recovery with sAME and folate and Methlycobalmin.
