Complicated feelings. Proceed with caution.
Dr. Groysman is willing to stick his neck out for Long Haulers in a way that very few have been. He has some really great and interesting ideas. That being said, he is far from without flaw, particularly in the way that he conducts himself online. If something he prescribes doesn't work, he perceives it as a personal attack. He doesn't take constructive criticism well. He goes on rants in his Facebook group about how people are ungrateful and unfair to him when they post honest reviews of one of his treatments not working. He boasts a 90-something% success rate but won't elaborate on success rates for individual treatments or what "success" looks like. I was removed from his facebook group after someone posted a negative outcome of one of Dr. Groysman's treatments and I commented saying that I had the same experience. I did EAT when he first offered it and my results were lackluster, to say the least. I had temporary, significant relief that came back within a few weeks. When I called the office to ask about what happened, if I could anticipate improving again, any ideas on why I relapsed, etc, they shut me down and told me that my inflammation wasn't that bad, so I shouldn't have expected the EAT to improve my symptoms. This made absolutely no sense to me and felt like a copout. The EAT did improve my symptoms, it just didn't last, and I wanted to know what was going on after dumping almost 3k on this treatment. He had rated me grade 3 (out of 4) inflammation, so this didn't add up with the later claim that my inflammation not being that bad. Then they tried to get me to schedule a $500 appointment to discuss it with the Doctor. No thanks! I have complicated feelings about this doctor. I wouldn't deter people from seeing him, considering he has helped a lot of people, and he genuinely does seem to care about Long Covid. But I think people should hear different perspectives on him and be aware of this kind of stuff. I certainly wasn't.
