Dr. Lawrence Afrin is a hematology/oncology specialist with deep focus on Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), practicing at the AIM Center for Personalized Medicine in Purchase, NY alongside Dr. Tania Dempsey since 2017. Earlier in his career he served on the Hematology/Oncology faculty at the Medical University of South Carolina (1995-2014), where he directed the fellowship program and Myeloproliferative Neoplasms Clinical Trials Program, then transitioned to the University of Minnesota (2014-2017). He authored the first comprehensive book on MCAS (2016), 73 peer-reviewed articles, and has delivered nearly 200 invited presentations globally.
