Did not help me when first treatments backfired

Chronic Illnesses: Long COVID POTS
Symptoms Treated: POTS - Better short time - 1-7 days
Last appointment: 1+ years ago

My hyperadrenergic POTS symptoms worsened by the beta blockers she Rx'd (fine, it happens) and had adverse reaction to ivabradine (again fine, it happens). I found medical articles and guidelines that discuss alpha agonist can be more helpful if beta blockers worsen sxs. She refused to review info or Rx different med. I was in danger of losing my job, and her only referral was for out of network psych (very expensive). I certainly can't afford that when I might lose my job. When my husband came to later appointments w/me, she was much more pleasant and willing to discuss alternatives. She did refer me out to pulmonologist who later started alpha agonist for POTs, which improved sx's and enabled me to return to work (tho not her field - that MD ruled out pulmonary issues and reviewed guidelines that Dr. Kose had ignored - then agreed to Rx). So I guess if you have a "typical" course of long covid and a male partner/support with you - then she could be helpful.
