Patients Say

Positives

  • Breaks down mitochondrial dysfunction and autonomic issues “in plain English,” leaving patients feeling heard and validated rather than puzzled by medical jargon. RedditReddit

  • Regulars on r/covidlonghaulers describe him as a “top-notch internist in NJ” who is kind, meticulous, and genuinely Long-COVID-literate, often tagging him when newcomers ask for doctor recs. RedditRedditReddit

  • A subset of users starting his maraviroc + pravastatin combo noted faster recovery from post-exertional crashes and clearer thinking within weeks. RedditPMC

Negatives

  • Popularity creates a weeks-long wait-list for both initial consults and follow-ups, which some find discouraging. RedditReddit

  • One poster left a visit feeling they were “treated like I was faking my fatigue and disability,” calling the encounter dismissive. Reddit

  • Several patients saw no change after 10 days on the maraviroc/statin regimen and questioned whether the risks and costs were worth it. RedditReddit

  • Off-label prescriptions plus frequent labs can rack up out-of-pocket costs; users say pricing details aren’t always made clear ahead of time. RedditReddit

  • A few long-haulers remain wary of his earlier ties to the FLCCC and ivermectin debates, saying that history makes them second-guess some recommendations. medium.com

A Rare Long COVID/ME/CFS Expert Who Truly Listens, Cares and Treats the Whole Patient

Chronic Illnesses: Long COVID
Last appointment: Within the last 6 months

After three years of being misdiagnosed, I finally found Dr. Eric Osgood through a recommendation on Reddit—and I’m so grateful I did. He’s one of the very few physicians who truly understands Long COVID, has done extensive research, worked in a Long COVID clinic, and treats patients with both clinical depth and real compassion. Here are just a few things Dr. Osgood did that no other doctor has ever done for me: 1) Before my first appointment, he asked me to send him all my labs—so he could review everything in advance. 2) During our initial visit, he spent over three hours going through my complete medical history, including months of tests and imaging I had pursued on my own. 3) He asked detailed questions, ruled out other possible immune-related conditions, and ordered additional labs to ensure nothing was missed. Two weeks later, we had a follow-up appointment to review my new test results, validate my symptoms, and confirm my Long COVID diagnosis. Dr. Osgood then created a personalized treatment plan that he continues to adjust based on my response and progress. I’m currently on low-dose naltrexone, low-dose prednisone, and rosuvastatin—introduced carefully and explained thoroughly. His nurse and receptionist are also incredibly kind and gentle, making every interaction feel safe, respectful, and supportive. After years of being dismissed and gaslit by other providers, this kind of care is a rare gift. If you’re dealing with Long COVID, ME/CFS, or another complex post-viral illness, I can’t recommend Dr. Osgood enough. He listens, investigates, and most importantly—he believes you. I'm still in the beginning of my treatment, but having a clinically curious and attentive doctor like Dr Osgood - gives me hope.
