Patients Say

Positives: Expertise in post-viral conditions, especially POTS Life-changing care (one parent testimonial mentioned Dr. Taylor "gave me my son back") Strong patient advocacy Compassionate approach to patients often dismissed by other doctors Professional recognition (shortlisted for 'GP of the Year') Time and validation – people highlight how much longer she spends listening, the way she treats complex symptoms as biological rather than "all in your head," and her openness to patient ideas. Individualised care plans – posts mention detailed histories, discussion of possible autonomic or mast-cell overlap, and a willingness to explore medication options when other routes have stalled. Visibility & advocacy – followers often cheer her conference talks, award nominations and parliamentary testimony, saying her public profile helps push post-viral illness into mainstream view. Negatives: High demand leading to availability issues Private practice limitations (cost may be prohibitive for some patients) Push-back from elsewhere – some note that other clinicians have questioned or stopped treatments she started, showing how fragmented care can feel when different doctors disagree.

Got a diagnosis after 2 years and some prescriptions

Chronic Illnesses: Long COVID Dysautonomia MCAS
Symptoms Treated: Orthostatic Intolerance - Slight improvement - 1+ year
Last appointment: 1+ years ago

Dr Claire Taylor was very helpful in me finally getting a diagnosis of Long COVID and Dysautonomia after 2 years in the NHS being denied and dismissed. She wrote a long letter to my GP detailing my condition with references and info on LC in general too. I was prescribed a beta blocker for my POTS and LDN along with 2 antihistamines for potential MCAS (H1 & H2). Dr Taylor’s clinic does have a long waiting list (I waited 3 months) and paid £300 but it may have changed as this was in Spring 2024. Because of her high patient load I would recommend her for initial diagnosis and trying general off labels, if you’re looking for someone to work more in depth with you 1 on 1 she may be a good jumping off point but with the long wait it may not be best for that. The LDN seems to have helped stabilize some of my POTS symptoms as I have way less flares.

Helpful in getting diagnosis and prescriptions

Chronic Illnesses: Long COVID
Last appointment: 6-12 months ago

Dr Taylor’s virtual Long COVID clinic was very helpful to me. She is very knowledgeable and kind and does as much as she can. I was finally able to get diagnosed with Long COVID and POTS officially by her. I was also prescribed beta blockers, LDN, and antihistamines for symptom management.
